From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

As Sand Diego Comic-Con continues, the news keeps pouring out.

The latest revelation has been the trailer for Glass, M. Night Shyamalan’s the sequel to Unbreakable and Split, has been released, featuring the first look at Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and James McAvoy together.

Also featured is Anya Taylor-Joy, who previously appeared in Split, and Sarah Paulson, a new character to the series. Watch the trailer above.

Before Split reached cinemas, there was no public acknowledgement that the movie was a standalone sequel to Unbreakable, which was released 16 years previously. With Glass – the title of which comes from Jackson’s character Mr. Glass – the three movies form the Eastrail 177 trilogy. Both previous instalments have been met with positive reviews.

Meanwhile, at Comic-Con the new trailer for The Walking Dead was released and actor Andrew Lincoln spoke about leaving the series for good. Coinciding with the event, there has also been news of James Gunn being fired from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Joss Whedon working on a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot.
