The first look at the next episode of Game of Thrones season 8 is teasing the aftermath of the big Winterfell battle.

As the HBO series gears up for its final three episodes, it seems things are moving to King's Landing as the survivors of the Night King battle prepare to take on Cersei Lannister, Euron Greyjoy and The Golden Company.

Before that, though, there's the small case of mourning for those who died in the battle with one photo showing Jon, Daenerys, Tormund, Grey Worm and Samwell bearing torches in memory of Theon, Beric, Lyanna and Ser Jorah.

As for Westeros' saviour, Arya Stark? She killed the Night King and all she got was a black eye. Watch your back, Cersei.

You can feast your eyes on the first-look photos below.

You can find a list of who died - as well as a ranking of how well they fought in the big battle - here.

The intense trailer for next week’s episode sees everyone turn their attentions to the Iron Throne and the fate of Cersei Lannister.

The final season of Game of Thrones continues every Sunday. Our extensive ranking of every episode in the series – from worst to best – is below.

The show will be available on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK.
