It should therefore come as no surprise that Universal Studios are expecting the film's actor and producer Vin Diesel to make another three films in the Fast and Furious franchise.
Diesel announced on Facebook that he has “promised the studio” one last trilogy to round of the saga and confirmed that no director is attached to the script yet. Read the full post below.

It has become commonplace for studios to announce multiple film releases that span far into the future.
Studios producing superhero films started the trend in recent years, with Marvel Studios announcing 10 films in their Cinematic Universe to be released over the next four years, while DC comics have 11 films spread out until 2020.
Other series to announce multiple sequels include both reboots of Ghostbusters (two films, one with female cast, on with male) and Men in Black (a trilogy of films without Will Smith).
Furious 8 was announced by Diesel back in April, the actor saying: "We're going to make the best movie you've ever seen.”
