Filming on the Fifty Shades of Grey movie has been pushed back a month following the re-casting of Christian Grey.
The production, which was due to begin filming in early November, will now begin on 2 December, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film has been held up after Charlie Hunnam resigned from playing Christian Grey, and Northern Irish model Jamie Dornan was quickly re-cast in the role.
The delay might push back post-production on the film, which is due to be released on 1 August next summer.
Newcastle-born Hunnam dropped out of the project due to a busy filming schedule on Sons of Anarchy. He also cited family commitments.
Dornan, who has previously appeared in Marie Antoinette and BBC series The Fall, was re-cast in the role last week.
True Blood actor Luke Grimes has been cast as Elliot, the brother to Christian Grey, while Jennifer Ehle has been cast as Carla, Anastasia’s mother.
Acclaimed director Sam-Taylor Johnson signed up to helm the project in June.
To date, the Fifty Shades trilogy has sold over 70 million copies worldwide, one of the fastest-selling series of all time.
Universal Pictures and Focus Features secured the multi-million dollar rights last year for the story of the relationship between college student Anastasia Steele and wealthy entrepreneur Christian Grey, who introduces her to S&M.
The film is due for release on 13 February 2015 in the US.
