Calls for Ezra Miller to be removed from the DC Extended Universe are gaining heat after a video emerged allegedly showing him choking a fan.

In the video, which began trending on Twitter Sunday night (April 5), a person who appears to be the 27-year-old actor is approached by a female fan who seems to play fight with him after spotting him in Iceland.

In response, the man says, “Oh, you wanna fight? That’s what you wanna do?” before appearing to grab her by the neck and then pushing her into the back wall of an aisle truck parked behind her.

While some viewers believed the interaction was a harmless joke, since the woman appears to have a smile on her face, others pointed out that the person recording the video sounds concerned.

Prikið Kaffihús, the owner of the bar in Reykjavik, has since told Variety that the incident was a serious one and claimed that Miller – who plays The Flash in the DCEU – had to be escorted off the premises.

An unnamed source at the bar claimed that the actor lost his temper after being hassled by a “pushy” group of fans.

While Miller has remained quiet since the video circulated, DC fans are calling for Warner Bros to remove the Justice League actor from the role, with some suggesting that Grant Gustin (who plays the TV version of the character) take over instead.

The Independent contacted Miller’s representatives as well as Warner Bros for comment.

Miller’s standalone Flash film is due to be released in cinemas in 2022.
