Your support makes all the difference. It's a certainty that the majority of Marvel characters yet to show up alongside The Avengers will converge in the Russo Brothers' upcoming instalments.
One such character is Ant-Man's Hope van Dyne who was confirmed to be returning as the Wasp at the climax of Peyton Reed's 2014 film.
Speaking to Blastr at New York Comic-Con, actor Evangeline Lily said: “There’s an Avengers series coming out and it’s a two-parter. The Wasp won’t be in the first part; she’ll be in the second part, because they really want to preserve that reveal for Ant-Man and the Wasp so they can give it its due time.”
Lilly is, of course, referring to Ant-Man's sequel in which her character has been promoted to co-lead alongside Paul Rudd's Scott Lang.
Speaking about the film, she continued: "I’m excited because it’s essentially going to be the origin of the Wasp. We’re going to see [her] for the first time take on the mantle, and put on the suit, and fly about, and do her thing."
Lilly shot to fame playing Kate Austen in television series Lost in which she starred in all six seasons. Following its ending in 2010, the Canadian actor went on to have roles in The Hurt Locker and the final two instalments of Peter Jackson's Hobbit films.
The upcoming Avengers film, Infinity War, will be released on 27 April 2018 while Ant-Man and the Wasp will be unveiled July 2018.
