Disenchanted: Two more Enchanted stars join Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey in Disney sequel
Filming on the sequel has begun already

James Marsden and Idina Menzel have joined the cast of Disenchanted, the sequel to Disney’s live-action princess adventure Enchanted.
The casting was confirmed by composer Alan Menken, who earned three Oscar nominations for the film.
Discussing Enchanted 2 during a live interview with JLGB Virtual, he said: “Amy Adams is in it, Patrick [Dempsey]’s in it. Idina Menzel’s in it... Jimmy Marsden. They’re in it.”
Menken also confirmed that the film was currently in the middle of production, adding that it was “really good”.
First released in 2007, Enchanted starred Adams as Giselle, an animated princess who is transported to the real world of New York.

Dempsey played divorce lawyer Robert, who Princess Giselle falls in love with, while Marsden starred as Prince Edward and Menzel as his future girlfriend Nancy.
Disenchanted will be directed by Adam Shankman, who is also serving as its screenwriter.
The sequel has been in the works for more than 10 years, with plans first emerging in 2010.
Filming was originally reported to begin in 2017, but was delayed once again.
