Elizabeth Hurley has responded to critics of a photo she released on social media this week in which she is topless while wearing a fur coat.
Piers Morgan called the picture, taken in the snow, “creepy” and “thirsty” and speculated that Hurley’s teenage son may have taken the photograph.
He also criticised Hurley for posing topless at the age of 55.
Actor and model Hurley has an 18-year-old son, Damian, with the late producer Steve Bing who died in June last year.
Defending herself, Hurley then tweeted the photograph again, with the caption: “Far be it for me to suggest the tabloids get their facts muddled, but these pics were in fact taken by my 80-year-old mother. Not entirely sure if that puts minds at rest or not.” She added a “blowing kiss” emoji.
Hurley recently made headlines for a very different sort of social media post, in which she told fans she had made 47 jars of marmalade in lockdown.
The post led her ex-boyfriend Hugh Grant to joke that Hurley should appear in Paddington 3.
