Disney has given the green light to yet another live action film.

If The Jungle Book, Cinderella, Mulan, Beauty and the Beast and Dumbo were not enough for Disney fans, The Sword in the Stone is also set to get a live action remake.

Game of Thrones writer and producer Bryan Cogman is on board to write the script for the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Cogman will bring his experience of crafting medieval stories to the movie, which is based on the boyhood of 6th century British monarch King Arthur.

The animated film became the sixth highest grossing movie of 1963 and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Score.

White’s The Sword in the Stone novel later became part of his Arthurian book series, The Once and Future King.

Disney has ramped up its live action offering of late, releasing Cinderella starring Lily James and Cate Blanchett earlier this year.

Its first foray into remakes with actors appearing on screen began in 1996 with 101 Dalmations, starring Glenn Close, Jeff Daniels and Joely Richardson.
