Your support makes all the difference.Boyhood, the Richard Linklater film that was 12 years in the making took home the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Picture last night, while Birdman – the most nominated film of the night – won seven awards in total.
Richard Linklater picked up best director for Boyhood, while Patricia Arquette won Best Supporting Actress and Ellar Coltrane won Best Young Actor.
Birdman’s awards included Best Actor for Michael Keaton’s performance, Best Acting Ensemble and Best Original Screenplay for Alejandro G. Inarritu, Nicolas Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris Jr and Armando Bo.
Last night marked the 20th Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, and Michael Keaton became the first person in its history to win three awards in a single year.
Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel picked up three awards, including Best Comedy, and Kevin Costner, Ron Howard and Jessica Chastain all received special honours on the night.
