Chuck Norris has denied claims that he was present at the Capitol riots last week after an image of a “lookalike” was widely circulated on social media.

The actor’s manager, Erik Kritzer, told The Post: “This is not Chuck Norris and is a wannabe lookalike although Chuck is more handsome.”

He added: “Chuck remains on his range in Texas where he has been with his family.”

Norris also addressed the rumours himself in a Twitter post shared on Tuesday (12 January). He wrote: “I recently learned that there was a Chuck Norris lookalike at the DC Capitol riots.

“It wasn’t me and I wasn’t there. There is no room for violence of any kind in our society. I am and always will be for Law and Order.”

Speculation surrounding Norris’s possible attendance at the pro-Trump riots on Wednesday (6 January) began after a photo was uploaded to social media, showing someone in the mob who bore a resemblance to the 80-year-old actor.

The now-deleted tweet was captioned: “Wait, so are we not going to mention the fact that Chuck Norris was at the [Make America Great] insurrection?”

The post was shared hundreds of thousands of times, however, fans of the Walker, Texas Ranger star were unconvinced.

“Not him. The wrinkles under the eyes and between eyebrows are different,” said one user.

Another added: “Facial recognition puts it at 85%, which is a computer’s way of saying, yeah it kind of looks like him, but not really…”

Norris made his last film appearance to date in 2012, starring in Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables 2.
