Your support makes all the difference.Charlie Hunnam has spoken out for the first time since leaving the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, saying he's concentrating on work and looking to start a "new chapter" in life.
The Sons of Anarchy star, who dramatically quit the raunchy film after reportedly feeling some "discomfort" over the role of Christian Grey, was attending a charity fundraiser in California.
He told E! News: "I am doing good. I am just really concentrating on work. It's been a really busy time."
The actor's father passed away in May this year, so Hunnam travelled back to England to be with his family.
"I have had some family stuff going on so just trying to stay focused and stay positive and keep trying to do a good job at work and be with my family and stay positive," he added.
When asked about his role in Sons of Anarchy, he said: "Like I said, I've got some family stuff I have to tend to. So when I wrap the show, I am going to go to England and see my people and then I have a film that I am doing with Guillermo [del Toro, who directed Hunnam in Pacific Rim]. So I am going to go and do that and concentrate on the final seasons of Sons."
He said the show had around 13, "maybe even a few more" episodes to film.
"There's rumor that we might do a couple of more episodes and do a little bit of an extended season next year," he said. "So we will see if that happens. It may or it may not. But I just want to finish that strong and go on to a new chapter of life."
Meanwhile, Tony-nominated actor Billy Magnussen and The Fall's Jamie Dornan tested for the vacant role of Christian Grey on Friday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
They read the part opposite Dakota Johnson, who will play Anastasia in the adaptation of the hit EL James novel.
A casting decision is expected soon as the film needs to hit its August 2014 release date.
