From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Donald Trump has made some excruciatingly awful comments over the last few weeks, his mannerisms being more like a comic book villain than real-world US presidential candidate.

The 69-year-old has been mocked for his recent comments on Muslims, with Sacha Baron Cohen reviving his character Borat on Jimmy Kimmel Live to poke fun at him (and promote a movie, obviously).

Coming on stage dressed as the controversial man from Kazakhstan, Cohen spent a few minutes mocking the republican. Watch below.

"I have come very serious, I come to make warning to U.S. and A., the frivolous nincompoops Sacha Cohen has returned,” he said. “This man is a real pain in my exit holes.

“His characters are very, very offensive. Ali G, Bruno, and his new one, Donald Trump. The only person who would ban Muslims is someone with brain like female chicken. It is clearly a parody of the rich American racist."

After Kimmel attempts to explain to explain that he is a real person, Cohen continues: “He does not look even real. Cohen spent all the money on orange paint for face and leave no money for wig.” Watch below.

At the end of the interview, after the clip of his upcoming film The Brothers Grimsby, Cohen calls for a boycott of the film. There is then a quick look at Ken Davitian lying naked upon a car (Davitian having played Borat’s producer in the film).

Grimsby - Trailer 2

Grimsby arrives in UK cinemas February 2016.
