From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. After glimpsing Ben Affleck’s Batman body armour in the Batman v Superman trailer, fans have been treated to the first full-length picture of the costume courtesy of Zack Snyder.
The director tweeted the full-length image following a special IMAX screening to mark the trailer’s original release date, before it was leaked last week forcing Warner Bros to release the trailer early.
The Batman armour shows some possible scratches cut into the breastplate of the suit, but otherwise fans will have to wait until another official (or unofficial) trailer to see more details of the costume.
The photo follows the release of the first Batman v Superman character teaser posters, also tweeted by Snyder.
Henry Cavill will star as Superman alongside Affleck in Warner Bros’ DC Comics shared universe movie.
The film also features Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released in the UK on 25 March 2016, with two further planned sequels to follow in 2017 and 2019.
