Back To The Future Day: Doc Brown himself has an inspirational message for all humans on 21 October, 2015

Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Christopher Lloyd, now 76, has donned Doc Brown's iconic lab coat and flamboyant shirt once more to deliver a video message to mark 21 October, 2015 or Back To The Future Day, the day the Doc and Marty McFly travelled to in the second film.
Much has been made of the film's verisimilitude, or lack thereof, with real life 2015 (not that this was the creators' intention), but Brown put a more positive spin on the anniversary.
10/21/15! The Future is NOW! Doc Brown has a special message just for you. #BTTF2015

"Great scott! If my calculations are correct, it is now precisely October 21, 2015. The future has finally arrived," he said in the video, posted to the Back To The Future trilogy's official Facebook page.
"Yes, it is different than we all thought, but don't worry - it just means your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has.
"Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one."
If clairvoyant movies are what you're after, here's nine that did a better job of predicting the future than BTTF.
