“Aveggies: Age of Bon Bon” sees a crew of superheroes battle to stop a sweet-loving super-villain with a chocolate chip cookie spaceship from “destroying all the healthy vegetables in the world”.
It’s up to Onion Man, Black Bean Widow, Zuchin-eye, Mighty Corn, Dr Brownie and, erm, Captain Americauliflower, to put a stop to this in the five-minute clip before humanity suffers from a serious lack of greens.
“People of Earth, prepare to be desserted,” Bon Bon threatens with an evil laugh, before his spaceship begins zapping everybody’s vegetables into cotton wool.
Cue laughs and chaos as Dr Brownie struggles to “stay focused” and stop eating everything, including Captain Americauliflower’s shiny new shield and Mighty Corn’s hammer.
Parents will love this latest spoof, which includes plenty of references to the actual movie. “That’s me secret, me always hungry,” Cookie Monster says, quoting Bruce Banner’s “That’s my secret, I’m always angry” before morphing into the Hulk.
Starring Chis Evans, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and more, Avengers: Age of Ultron topped the UK box office last weekend with ticket sales of £18 million to score the highest 2015 opening so far.
It is the eighth highest in history and the most impressive since Skyfall grossed £20.1 million in 2012.
