Avengers: Infinity War may have reached cinemas less than a month ago, but fans are already looking towards the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While there may be two movies before the as-yet-untitled fourth AvengersAnt Man and the Wasp comes next, followed by Captain Marvel – a synopsis has already been released.

The short summary appeared in License Global magazine, the same publication that offered the world first synopsis for Infinity War.

It reads: “A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth instalment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”

While giving away no specifics, there are a couple of notable points to take away from the release, the first being that a ”turning point” awaits the Avengers, confirming that the team will likely discover a way to defeat Thanos soon enough.

The second key word is “sacrifice”. Although we have already seen dozens of our favourite heroes fall, come the fourth Avengers, we should likely expect a couple more to fall.
