From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Ant-Man and the Wasp - the first Marvel film to follow Avengers: Infinity War - has a brand new trailer.

The sequel to 2015's enjoyable Marvel outing Ant-Man is set to be released this summer with Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly both reprising their roles, the latter being promoted to title status making her the first female superhero to get a name-check in a title of a film released as part of the MCU.

Michael Douglas will also return as Dr. Hank Pym alongside his long-lost wife - Janet Van Dyne (mother to Lilly's character, Hope) - showing up in a role played by Michelle Pfeiffer.

Also starring in the comedy-action film are Michael Pena, Laurence Fishburne and Walton Goggins who can be seen watching on in confusion as Rudd's anthropomorphic-suited hero causes havoc on city streets.

Elsewhere, the trailer also proves Ant-Man and the Wasp will be the only film to include a giant salt shaker as well as an insect playing the drums/

Peyton Reed returns as director with scriptwriting duties falling to Gabriel Ferrari, Andrew Barrer, Chris McKenna, Erick Sommers and lead star Rudd.

Marvel fever has been in overdrive this year following the record-breaking release of both Black Panther and Infinity War which has overtaken Star Wars: The Force Awakens to receive the biggest opening weekend in cinema history.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will be released in cinemas on 3 August.
