Your support makes all the difference.Amy Schumer has issued an apology to Hilaria Baldwin after reposting an Instagram photo of the lingerie-clad yoga teacher holding her baby a few months after giving birth.
In the now-deleted photo, Schumer, who recently gave birth as well, had jokingly pretended to be Baldwin, writing, "Gene and I wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday season. Enjoy it with whatever family members are talking to you this year."
Baldwin, who has five children with husband Alec Baldwin, posted a video saying she was being harrassed by internet trolls for her seemingly quick weight loss post-pregnancy.
"After many people reached out to me, I decided to respond to the whole photo with Edu being made into a joke thing," Baldwin captioned. "Love a good joke – don’t think this should have been such a big deal. I’m still 50/50 on whether I should respond, but as we see, I decided to. I’m an advocate for body positivity and inclusivity ... which, let’s all remember, includes everyone. Xoxo, a very tired and cold mother."
Schumer commented, "I’m sorry!"
Baldwin followed up noting that she had no issue with the 39-year-old comedian.
"@amyschumer Girl, don’t even apologize! You always make me laugh,” Baldwin wrote. "My only intentions were to address some of the the not so namaste behavior some people went running wild with after. You don’t need to take responsibility for their actions. Much love and light xoxo."
Responding to body-shamers telling her how unrealistic her postpartum body looked three months after giving birth, Baldwin defended herself, saying, "Some moms do [look like that]. This mom does. I try my very best to fit in [exercise] because it makes me feel good."
Schumer recently documented her own experience with pregnancy in the HBO Max docuseries Expecting Amy.
