From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Woody's latest romantic-comedy, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, follows his familiar themes of tangled love lives and the search for meaning and happiness. It stars Josh Brolin, Naomi Watts, Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, Gemma Jones, Lucy Punch, and Freida Pinto.

This new US trailer, released Tuesday, features a voice-over explaining the various characters and storylines, such as Alfie who leaves his wife Helena to recapture his free-spirited youth again, while Helena surrenders her life to the advice of a psychic.

Then there's Sally who seems content in her marriage, but develops a crush on her boss at an art gallery.

And the neurotic novelist who is moonstruck over a young mysterious muse.

Set in London, the frantic attempts to resolve their problems and live their dreams only seems to complicate the situation.

This is Woody Allen's 44th film. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and opens in New York and Los Angeles on September 22.
