Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

I’m just about to watch RoboCop. I am looking forward to seeing how it compares to the original as we are now living in the future that the original film portrayed.
I also loved Spike Jonze’s Her with Joaquin Phoenix – it was amazing and science fiction is one of my favourite film genres.
Music
I actually have my own label, Unstoppable Records, and so I’m currently listening to my artist Jamie Joseph, who’s co-signed to RCA. He’s an amazing soul artist and is working on his album. I am also a huge fan of Eminem’s, he’s a lyrical genius!
Books
At the moment I’m re-reading Kissing in Manhattan by David Schickler. I read it years ago and loved the intertwining stories and world that he crafted in 1990s New York. I wanted to look at it again to see if there was any potential for a film. One of my favourite books is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time – I’ve been trying to get tickets to see the stage play,
Television
I’m re-watching Season 1 through to 8 of Entourage, which I absolutely love, in preparation for the movie! Although it’s a slight exaggeration it represents the industry I work in and I can relate to it.
Favourites include Breaking Bad and Family Guy – they always make me laugh.
Noel Clarke’s film ‘The Anomaly’ is on general release. The DVD is out on 27 October.
