Your support makes all the difference.At the recent Comic-Con event in San Diego, director Guillermo Del Toro announced that after exiting The Hobbit, he would be busy with several projects, including a version of Frankenstein, a suspense project for cable television, and a new animated Pinocchio film with a soundtrack by Nick Cave.
There were rumors that the Mexican filmmaker would also tackle the vampire story of ‘Van Helsing' with Tom Cruise in the starring role, but he has shelved that film to take on H.P. Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness, a story combining horror, sci-fi and mythology.
In a partnership with James Cameron, who will produce the film in 3D, according to entertainment website Deadline Hollywood, plans for production start in 2011 from a script by del Toro and Matthew Robbins ( Dragonslayer).
The director of the Oscar-winning Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy movies, has also recently revealed he would direct The Haunted House, based on Disney's theme park attraction.
