Your support makes all the difference.Berkoff choreographs the sounds of his words. They stretch and pop with the same precision as his gestures. Shorn from his own contentious material, Berkoff the performer proves the virtuosity of his technique in Poe's Tell Tale Heart. His characterisations dominate the stage space. In contrast, the bravery of the second part of his One Man rests in the self-written pieces that round off the show. Here he returns to the portrayal of anti-social behaviour which so infuriated his previous audiences, but tempers it with irony. One Man provides the dynamism expect from Berkoff and tantalisingly hints at his growing self-awareness.
