Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Small is beautiful and takes the shape of Tour de Force!, English National Ballet's annual split-touring scheme, when the company divides to service regional parts that other companies fail to reach. The two programmes concentrate on extracts from everybody's favourite ballets. Think The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet etc. But the unfamiliar still gets a look in and ENB's Christopher Hampson flexes his talent with a new piece, Concerto Grosso, on one programme, and Country Garden, created last year, on the other.
Tour de Force!, Programme A at the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon (01793 524481) Mon & Tues; New Victoria Theatre, Woking (01483 761144) Thur to 27 March; Programme B at the Lyceum, Crewe (01270 537333) Tue & Wed; Plowright Theatre, Scunthorpe (01724 840883/842332) Fri to 27 Mar. Touring continues up to 10 April.
