Your support makes all the difference.Comedy: I saw Imran Yusuf at the Comedy Store, and I was left feeling I'd just seen potentially the biggest name in British stand up of the very near future. The guy could genuinely be our very own Chris Rock – he's like a missing link between old and young, black and white, different classes. Whatever 'it' is, he's got 'it'! I also saw Alun Cochrane who I can't quite believe isn't already a British institution. The guy is pure unadulterated class, top to toe.
Music: Right now I'm listening to quite a bit of Example. He's an old mate of mine so I'm a bit biased, but his new stuff really is a cut above a lot of the UK rap stuff that's out at the minute. The Wretch 32 track "Unorthodox", featuring Example, is a particular favourite of mine at the minute.
Films: 'Black Swan' was ridiculously entertaining, with particular emphasis on the ridiculous. On the other end of the spectrum, 'Blue Valentine' was completely grounded in reality. It's a totally believable study of the beginning and the end of a relationship, with two central performances from Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams that are among the best I've seen in a while.
Television: It's all about 'Rastamouse'; an animated reggae-singing mouse that has become a children's television hit on the BBC. I bought the books for my kids and thought they were okay, no more than that, but the TV show elevates it massively. I can't believe the show has received so many complaints!
Books: I'm sorry to say I'm currently enjoying 'Crystal Palace Miscellany: Eagles Trivia, History, Facts and Stats' by Neil McSteen because deep, deep down I am a very sad man.
