Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

PASSION @ emporium

Not many clubbers south of Birmingham could reliably tell you where Coalville is, but you can bet your favourite shirt that they're more likely to have heard of Passion. The line-up of DJ talent reveals the ambitions of this club: tonight, Luke Neville, Seb Fontaine, Judge Jules and Lisa Pinup will all be finding their way to Coalville for a gig in association with Serious Artists Management. Check out a map and arrive early as it's sure to be jammed.

67 Belvoir Road, Coalville, Leicestershire (01530 815278) tonight 8pm- 2am, pounds 9-pounds 11

PEACH @ camden palace

This gig just seems to attract more people every month. Around 1,800 people cram in every Friday for lashings of deep house in the main arena and underground beats upstairs in the garage bar. Graham Gold, Darren Pearce, Craig Dimech and Dave Lambert are the resident spinners who have built up an impressive rapport with their stylish punters. It's a great night, but the Palace turns into a furnace around 1am, so find yourself a cool balcony and watch the action from above.

Camden High Street, London N1 (0171-387 0428) Fridays 10pm-6am, pounds 7-pounds 10
