Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Everyone knows that Britons, dedicated tea drinkers they are, like nothing better than to put the kettle on and have a good natter during the long winter evenings. Alternatively, you can pull on your dancing pants and head down to Soho for one of the freshest club nights in the West End.

There's no tea to be had, but there's enough funky house to kick off any weekend with MN2S residents Miss Jools, Kenny Charles, Tom Dinsdale and Alan Jink Chamberlain.

MN2S used to run at The Cross before moving to Mass in Brixton. Their tenure in Brixton was short-lived but their recent move to The Annexe has seen hordes of revellers dancing the night away to deep, funky house with strong US undercurrents.

Diesel tore things up last week and George Morel headlines tonight - a real treat for anyone who loves quality tunes. For a mere pounds 10 tax you're definitely robbing them.

1 Dean Street, London W1 (0181-767 9923) Fri, 10pm-5am, pounds 8-pounds 10, pounds 5 after 3am.
