Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Easter clubbers don't need to be egged on. The bank holiday line-up offers a licence to get dressed, go out and get blitzed for three nights in a row.

Club promoters around the UK have contrived a kaleidoscope of enticing events, and have raised entry prices to match. Early booking is essential.

Pushca presents The Dali Dali Da Party on Easter Saturday. The title pays homage to Salvador Dali and the surrealist master provides the inspiration for the night's theme. Fashion, glamour and innovation are three adjectives often used to describe Pushca events; this one will attempt to eclipse all previous efforts.

The venue will be decked out to create a sumptuous vision of surrealism. Naturally, the clientele is expected to be pristine yet decadent. Pushca residents, Miss Barbie, Fat Tony, Darren Darling and Perl & Dean play uplifting house until 6am. This all-ticket gig already has tongues wagging in expectation.

London's club scene loses an impressive venue this month as the Raw club closes after Easter. But it's set to go out with a bang as the final event will be Fresh 'n' Funky's bank holiday extravaganza. With the best in R&B and hip-hop flavas, this event looks set to be crammed. The main room will keep the phat beats pumpin' (with Brian Norman and K Gee on the decks), while the smaller room showcases soul and funk vibes with a healthy dose of rare and jazzy beats (Maura Miller and Boogie Boy Lloyd feature). Dress to sweat and get there early.

For those of you who prefer your gigs raw and your beats phat, pay a visit to the Garage, on Highbury Corner for Mudlumz. This gig is guaranteed to provide more beat-for-beat energy than any other. Join the hip-hop community for the launch of this new monthly event that aims to highlight the best of rap and showcase emerging UK talent live on stage. No dress code and no attitude.

New skool, old skool and break beats are thrown into the mix this Easter Sunday. Dagart Productions provide the live PA with guest MCs. DJ Brad and Shortee Blitz take care of the Technics.

Last year's Famous Five Bank Holiday event proved a massive success. This year the festivities look set to be bigger and better as Five Get Together Again on Easter Sunday.

The winning formula is simple: take the capital's five most successful gay nights and bring them together under one roof for a huge all-nighter. Love Muscle, Fruit Machine, Bang, Sherbet and Fist each take residence in one room at Bagley's Studios.

The promoters have guaranteed "much popping of ginger beer and a general ballyhoo"; more than 20 of gay London's top DJs, Pete Wardman, Rachael Auburn, Gareth, Rich B and Aunty James all feature on the decks, playing high energy and uplifting house. No other Easter event promises as many midnight thrills.
