CLUB OF THE WEEK
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.PUSHCA @ truman brewery
Tonight Pushca roll their fluffy dice one last time before heading off into the sunset - this particular farewell gig is certain to come up double-six.
Even though this is an invitation-only do, it's worth making it club of the week - because it was Pushca's promoters, Ric and Deborah, who revitalised UK by moving the emphasis from huge dank venues to glamorous exhibitionism.
Pushca threw parties with an unrivalled sense of style. They attracted a cosmopolitan tribe of exhibitionists. But eight years on they've had enough!
Regulars Paul Gardner, Darren Darling, Dusty O and Dino T will keep the BPM high for their final event.
Tonight's gig is a "thank you" to everyone who's supported Pushca over the years and, in another break from clubbing tradition, is free. So you have no excuse for not coming if you've received a precious invite.
Tonight, 91-95 Brick Lane, London E1 (0973 291481) 10pm-6am, invitation only
