Your support makes all the difference.Theatre: I recently attended the first night of 'Betty Blue Eyes', the musical produced by Sir Cameron Mackintosh. I thought it was great and the cast were superb – including Kylie Minogue as the voice of the pig.
Film: I love going to the movies and try and go as often as I can. The last film I saw was 'The King's Speech', which was fantastic. The moment that stood out for me was when Lionel – brilliantly acted by Geoffrey Rush – plays some music during one of the speech therapy sessions and the King finds it easier to speak. It is extremely moving, and emphasises the power of music and how it can both move and relax people– literally the healing power of music.
Television: Not much when you've got a three-year-old. But I could sing every kids' theme tune for you! When I get the chance, it's usually food programmes or some comedy show. I'm a big fan of 'Frasier'.
Music: I love AC/DC, Led Zeppelin (Robert Plant is a real hero of mine) and ZZ Top (above). I'm planning to go to the High Voltage Festival at Victoria Park in east London where Thin Lizzy and Jethro Tull are playing. I also listen to country (Stevie Ray Vaughan), blues (John Mayall) singer-songwriters (such as Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young) and classical music.
Books: This is silly, I know, but whenever I try and read a novel I start to feel guilty that I should be studying some music instead, but I do read a lot of cook books as I love to cook. Jamie Oliver's 'Jamie's 30 Minute Meals' is a current favourite and Nigel Slater and Gordon Ramsay are also up there.
