Your support makes all the difference.Christian Patterson's second monograph is inspired by one of the more notorious events in the annals of American crime: the same two-month killing spree in Nebraska and Wyoming in 1958-59, by the teenage lovers Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate, that inspired Terrence Malick's film Badlands.
Patterson retraced the killers' route, reconstructing their story and recording remnants of the events, for an eerie book that mixes documentary, landscape and forensic photography with real documents and found objects relating to the case; fiction with non-fiction; truth with mythology.
