In between fiercely defending the BBC with a flood of #BackTheBBC posts, the author took some time to reply to questions about both her bestselling fantasy books and upcoming spin-off movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
First up, we discovered that contrary to common belief, there is no Hogwarts tuition fee, making our burning desire for an owl to hurry up and deliver that acceptance letter even more ardent.
"The Ministry of Magic covers the cost of all magical education!" Rowling wrote after a fan wrote in, asking her to put an end to a "super intense debate" she was having with a friend about whether or not Hogwarts was a private school.
Next, Rowling revealed that there will be a character with "loads" of scars in Fantastic Beasts, which stars Eddie Redmayne as magizoologist Newt Scamander. Newt is a Hufflepuff too, in case you're wondering.
Then finally, we learned that Harry's muggle Uncle Vernon is a huge fan of Top Gear and loves the car show so much, he "signed the petition for Clarkson's reinstatement" after the popular host was axed in March.
Vernon won't be joining Chris Evans on the new line-up, sadly, as Rowling reckons "his total lack of charm and charisma might have prevented it becoming a global franchise". Ouch.
Rowling has previously confirmed the existence of an American Hogwarts where the other heroes of Fantastic Beasts attended.
The film is due out in the UK on 16 November 2016 with open auditions being held on Saturday to find a little girl to play the role of Modesty.
