From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. UPDATE: It has since emerged that there are indeed three new Harry Potter e-books coming in September. A statement reads: "The Pottermore Presents series will launch in September and is intended to supplement the Harry Potter book series with short-form content that is entertaining, creatively curated by the Pottermore staff and accessed easily on mobile platforms.

"We also recognise that not all Harry Potter fans who want to read more about the wizarding world visit pottermore.com so we’ve developed Pottermore Presents to reach those fans through other channels. The titles will be available on the Pottermore shop and via leading online retail outlets."

ORIGINAL: JK Rowling cannot leave Harry Potter alone. Despite publishing seven books about the wizard, plus a stage play, plus a trilogy of Fantastic Beasts movies set in the same universe, the author continues to return to the Boy-Who-Lived.

Now, three new e-books set in the fantastical world are reportedly set to be release. While Rowling hasn’t officially announced the releases, Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble and Apple's US iBook store have all listed three E-Books, written by the author about the world of Harry Potter.

According to The Bookseller, the three books are titled: Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists, Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies, and Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide.

Fans react to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

The first, Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists, will apparently reveal the truth about Professor Umbridge and how Horace Slughorn met Voldemort.

Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies will focus on Minerva McGonagall and Remus Lupin, while the third book will take readers behind the scenes of Hogwarts.

The release comes just weeks after The Cursed Child hit bookshelves, setting records around the world, becoming the fastest selling script of all time. However, some fans were disappointed by the book release, claiming the time-turner tale reads like fan fiction.
