Arnold Schwarzenegger is writing his memoirs with the title "Total Recall," the actor-turned-politician's publisher said Thursday, but it is unclear if it will cover his recent marital troubles.

The book, subtitled "My Unbelievably True Life Story," presents "a larger-than-life portrait of his illustrious, controversial and ever-entertaining life in and out of the public eye," said Simon & Schuster.

"Truly, Arnold is one of the most fascinating figures of our time, and one of the greatest success stories in the world," said the New York-based publisher's Jonathan Karp.

"Nobody has a life story even close to his. To go from poor immigrant to world class athlete to the biggest movie star in the world to Governor of California is an incredible journey," he added.

Arnie "discusses his high-stakes journey to the United States, creating the international bodybuilding industry out of the sands of Venice Beach, breathing life into cinema's most iconic characters, and becoming one of the leading political figures of our time," said the blurb.

But there is no word on whether the book will cover the Austrian-born actor's recently announced divorce from his wife of 25 years Maria Shriver, after it emerged that he had fathered a child with their former housekeeper.

A Simon & Schuster spokeswoman declined to add anything to the press release about the book, which noted that Schwarzenegger started writing it in 2010, and began working with a ghost writer "earlier this year."

Shriver filed for divorce in July. The autobiography is due to be published in October 2012.
