Turner Prize 2010

The often controversial Turner Prize was established in 1984 and is awarded to a British artist under 50 for his or her outstanding exhibition or other presentation of work in the 12 months preceding April 27, 2010. This year's shortlisted artists are Dexter Dalwood, Angela de la Cruz, Susan Philipsz and The Otolith Group. Work by the shortlisted artists will be shown in an exhibition at Tate Britain opening on October 4. The winner will be announced at Tate Britain on December 6 during a live broadcast by Channel 4.
