This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

Josh Duhamel (pictured), the American actor and husband to pregnant Black Eyes Peas singer Fergie, has turned his attentions to the ocean. While he is busy promoting his new slushy romance movie, Safe Haven, which he co-stars in with Julianne Hough, he is also helping to raise awareness of the importance of the ocean to the ecosystem.
Duhamel, who is better known as William Lennox in the Transformers movie franchise and who starred in blind date movie, Life As We Know It with Katherine Heigl, is narrating a documentary Planet Ocean. He is helping film-makers Michael Pitiot and Yann Arthus-Bertrand spread the word about the conservation of the ocean.
The DVD, which is out in April to coincide with Earth Day, delves deep into our oceans, using aerial and underwater shots.
“It connects humankind and the ocean – we come from the ocean,” says director Pitiot. “We have disrupted the equilibrium – so where are we heading? It's not the sea that needs saving but mankind.”
'Planet Ocean' is out on 22 April
