Lee Ufan: Marking Infinity is the first North American museum retrospective dedicated to Korean born Japanese artist and philosopher Lee Ufan. The exhibition features a vast selection of Ufan's sculptures, paintings, works on paper and installations. The exhibition traverses 90 of the artist's creations and including his most famous works, many of which will be shown in the US for the first time. The Hugo Boss Prize 2010 is also on view at the Guggenheim until November 2.

The Month of Photography Asia (MOP Asia) is comprised of group and solo exhibitions, spread across various venues, that in 2011 will explore the notion of "memory." Three highlighted exhibitions feature more than 250 photographs "by famous photographers who died in the Indochina and Vietnam wars." Photographs from the three exhibitions take a playful glimpse at history through pop culture, reporting on man-made divides and celebrating photography as an art and a creative industry. Photomonth East London (October-November), Mois De La Photo Paris (October-November), Contact in Toronto, Canada (May), and Le Mois de la Photo à Montréal (September-October) are just some of the other month-long photographic exhibitions held around the globe.

Held in a small, picturesque town in the South of France, Les Rencontres d'Arles is far from the quaint country exhibition one might expect to see in such a location. The photography festival traverses 60 exhibitions, professional exchanges, and seminars and has become an institution for professional and amateur photographers alike. In 2010 the event attracted 73,000 visitors. Unlike other major photography events such as PHotoEspaña, Contact and Paris Photo, Les Rencontres d'Arles juxtaposes the works of famous photographers with those by unknown amateurs.

Art Osaka will see 53 galleries from Japan and Asia presenting the work of internationally established artists and emerging talents. In 2011 Art Osaka will be held in the Hotel Granvia Osaka for the first time. Following the trend of other Asian hotel-based art fairs like DoJiMa Art fair (Osaka), Art@Agnes (Tokyo) and Asia Top Gallery Hotel Art Fair (Seoul), Art Osaka will adorn hotel rooms with works by emerging contemporary Asian artists. The charitable event "The Power of Art to Tohoku" will run alongside the fair to raise funds for survivors of the Great East Japan Earthquake.

The Galway Arts Festival is a celebration of street art, music, theater, literature and visual arts. The event showcases an international lineup of artists alongside Ireland's best talents. This year works from artists such as Hughie O'Donoghue, Aideen Barry, Charles Lamb and Jay Murphy will be featured at the Galway Arts Festival, Ireland's largest annual international arts festival. In 2010 the event attracted 158,000 visitors.
