- Their daughter, Sarah Entwistle, fears for her father's life and has appealed to the Taliban for their release, citing his need for medication.
- The couple, who have worked in Afghanistan for 18 years, were arrested alongside an American friend and a translator.
- The Taliban has stated it is evaluating the case and will endeavour to release them soon.
