With plenty of moves circulating as the new season gets underway, let's waste no time in getting stuck into today's transfer news.

We begin this morning with the news that Manchester United have sent officials to Lisbon to finalise talks of a summer move for Bruno Fernandes, with the player's agent travelling in the opposite direction to agree the personal terms of his contract that will take him to Old Trafford.

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Fernandes has been offered a £100,000-a-week four-year deal to join United, although a fee still needs to be agreed between the Premier League club and Sporting - who are holding out for up to £70m after United's initial £31m bid was rejected.

Chelsea are poised to name Frank Lampard as their new manager later today, with Derby County accidentally confirming his departure on their website last night before deleting the post.

Lampard spent six hours at Stamford Bridge last night before leaving with a contract in hand, having agreed the deal that will see him replace Maurizio Sarri as manager of the Blues.

Chelsea did have everything in place to make the announcement on Wednesday, but the club elected to postpone the big unveiling when Facebook and Instagram went down, forcing the club to wait until the social media platforms were restored in order to maximise his announcement, according to The Mirror.

But the club have denied this is the case, and are set to announce the move at some point today. Believe what you want...

Arsenal have been offered Barcelona forward Malcom, just one year on from his move to the Nou Camp.

The 22-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Spurs until he agreed to head to the Spanish club, but he has failed to make an impact on Ernesto Valverde's side and The Mirror reports that he has been offered to Arsenal for a reduced fee.

However, the report adds that Arsenal remain intent on signing Wilfried Zaha and do not want to commit money that could be used in the pursuit of the Crystal Palace winger in any other deals.

BREAKING: Frank Lampard's appointment as Chelsea manager has been confirmed, with the former Blues midfielder signing a three-year deal.

Speaking after his unveiling, Lampard described how proud he is to return to the club where he cemented his legacy.

He said: “I am immensely proud to be returning to Chelsea as head coach.

“Everyone knows my love for this club and the history we have shared, however, my sole focus is on the job in hand and preparing for the season ahead. I am here to work hard, bring further success to the club and I cannot wait to get started.”

Juventus will push ahead to sign Mauro Icardi and Inter are open to a sale. 

Antonio Conte has decided to outcast the controversial Argentine. 

And La Repubblica report that Inter are now open to selling to their rivals to enable them to move for Romelu Lukaku, who is out of favour at Manchester United. 

Icardi is available for what could be a bargain at €40m (£36m). 

In some more positive news for Chelsea fans, the Evening Standard reports that the club are to open contract talks with Mason Mount following Frank Lampard's appointment as head coach.

Mount, who played under Lampard at Derby last season, has been with Chelsea since he was six-years-old and has two years remaining on his current deal.

The Blues are hoping to tie him down until at least 2024, with contract negotiations with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek continuing too.

The Telegraph reports that Leicester City are closing in on the club-record, £40m signing of Youri Tielemans from Monaco after his hugely successful loan spell last season.

Tielemans, 22, has been keen to return to the King Power since his loan spell ended and the deal finally appears to be nearing its conclusion.

A £30m move for Newcastle's Ayoze Perez is also due to be completed imminently.

Leicester are also lining up potential replacements for Harry Maguire, who is a target for both Manchester United and Manchester City, with Brighton's Lewis Dunk a top choice.

The Mirror reports that Brighton will demand at least £40m for 27-year-old Dunk who made his England debut last year against the United States. Burnley's James Tarkowski is another possible option for Brendan Rodgers if Maguire moves on.
