England, the European silver medallists, have announced an experienced squad for next month's women's European Indoor Nations Championship in Glasgow. Seven of the team which lost to Germany in the 1993 final in London are retained, including the Great Britain striker, Mandy Nicholls.

The last place in the Great Britain men's squad for next month's Olympic qualifying tournament in Barcelona has gone to John Shaw, following his fine performances against Belgium last weekend.
