You may have noticed the common parlance for enquiring as to what's occurring is often termed: 'What's the score?' Said with an affectionate rhyme: 'What's the Bobby Moore?' Contracted for case and now generally accepted and to be said with a hint of reverence from now on (if it wasn't before): 'What's the Bobby?' The simple answer to a simplified question: 'A truly sad loss.'
