All the action from the FA Cup fourth round as it happened
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Manchester City earlier swept past fellow English Premier League team Burnley 5-0 in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday, extending their run of wins to eight in all competitions. In that streak, the team has 33 goals and has not conceded a goal in the last six games — a first under Guardiola.
Wolverhampton Wanderers avoided becoming the latest Premier League casualty only by scoring in the third minute of injury time to salvage a 2-2 draw at third-tier Shrewsbury.
Wolves, who knocked out Liverpool in the third round, rested key players for the game despite not being in genuine danger of relegation in its first season back in the Premier League.
In an all-Premier League matchup, Watford won 2-0 at Newcastle, which hasn't progressed beyond the fourth round since 2006. Brighton was taken to a replay by second-tier West Bromwich Albion after a 0-0 draw.
And after Everton were stunned by Millwall, West Ham were knocked out by AFC Wimbledon. Re-live the action:

GOAL! Shrewsbury 1-0 Wolves (Docherty 47')
Looks as if those prayers were answered.
Rangers loanee Greg Docherty is played in by Okenabirhie, and his shot takes a deflection before going into the roof of the net.
50 min: Shrewsbury 1-0 Wolves
The visitors look for an immediate response, but Ruben Neves sees his shot blocked by Oliver Norburn.
51 min: Newcastle 0-0 Watford
Better at St James' Park, where Andre Gray fires over from 20 yards.
GOAL! Swansea 2-1 Gillingham (Rees 51')
They're back in it. Mark Byrne's cross is met by Josh Rees and he heads past Erwin Mulder.
GOAL! Middlesbrough 1-0 Newport (Ayala 51')
The defender seems to be all over his opponent, but he is allowed to nod in from a corner from three yards out.
50 min: Man City 1-0 Burnley
It should be 1-1 at the Etihad. Matej Vydra is clean through after Nicolas Otamedni's mistake, but the forward takes too much time and his shot goes into the side netting.
GOAL! Manchester City 2-0 Burnley (Bernardo Silva)
Kevin De Bruyne finds Silva on the right. He cuts inside and hits a shot with his left foot that is deflected past Nick Pope, who again is at fault.
57 min: Brighton 0-0 West Brom
Further chances at the Amex but the deadlock is yet to be broken. Rekeem Harper fires a rocket just wide from 25 yards before Dale Stephens comes back off the post.
59 min: Shrewsbury 1-0 Wolves
Great save from Steve Arnold, who denies Helder Costa a certain equaliser, but the Portuguese should do better.
