From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Much like Tuesday night's Champions League fixtures, there's very little up for grabs tonight with Tottenham and Leicester's European fates already decided.

For the Foxes, qualification to the last-16 was secured in their penultimate group game as they clinched a 2-1 victory over Club Brugge two weeks ago. The side's spot at the top of Group G is now guaranteed, regardless of tonight's result at the Estádio do Dragão.

It's been a very different story for Spurs. Mauricio Pochettino's men have flopped in Europe, managing just one win from five games. Their fate was eventually sealed in Monaco last month as the side succumbed to a 2-1 defeat by the French side.

4 min: Dier tries his hand at a cross-field switch from his position at centre-back but completely miss-hits his effort. CSKA's Natcho latches onto the stray ball and attempts to kick-start a counter attack with his own searching ball down the left. But much like Dier's effort, it's an absolute stinker and rolls out for a Tottenham throw-in.

7 min: Tottenham spring into life with a lovely, well-worked passage of play that Dier kicks off from his position at the back. He drifted an exquisite searching ball over the top to Walker on the right-hand side touchline who immediately nodded the ball back inside into the path of Eriksen.

Turning on a sixpence, the Spurs forward swiveled and fired in the ball across the mouth of the goal. Alli was on hand to meet the cross with a header but his effort just shaved past the left-hand side goal post.
