Kai Havertz's late strike handed Chelsea a valuable 1-0 win over Newcastle United in their Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge. The German produced a sublime touch and finish from Jorginho's cross to deliver the three points for the Blues on what was a frustrating afternoon for the home side. Newcastle will feel mightily aggrieved as Havertz could have seen red for an elbow on Dan Burn in the first half, while Jacob Murphy should have been awarded a penalty after he was brought down in the box by Trevoh Chalobah. The decisions went the way of the Blues and it turned out to be a vital factor in the outcome of the contest.
