Follow live coverage as AFC Bournemouth face Brighton & Hove Albion today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.
The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.
Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Brighton would have probably felt as if the international break came at the wrong time for them, having just snapped a three-game winless run across competitions with a stunning 2-1 victory over Manchester City with two late goals from Joao Pedro and Matt O’Riley proving to be the difference. The Seagulls, one of four teams tied on 19 points inside the top 6, are currently outside the Champions League places only due to goal difference. But their tally of 19 points from 11 games represents their best start to a top-flight season. While Brighton currently have the worst defensive record among the top teams, they have scored at least a goal in all but one of their games across competitions this season. Injuries have been a big concern for Fabian Hurzeler’s side, but the manager said before the game that Jack Hinshelwood and Carlos Baleba could be fit for this game. In more good news, captain Lewis Dunk could feature against Bournemouth after a month away due to a calf injury.

Bournemouth went into the break on the back of a 3-2 defeat against Brentford at the Gtech, extending their poor away form that has now seen them winless in 12 games away from the Vitality Stadium. However, they are a completely different side at home and they go into today’s clash with Brighton on a three-match home winning run, which includes victories against Arsenal and Manchester City. Andoni Iraola's side have been particularly impressive off the ball this season, with the second-most pressures recorded by any team in the league. However, their 2-0 win over Arsenal is their only clean sheet so far this term. While Iraola expects Antoine Semenyo and Milos Kerkez to be fit, Bournemouth will be forced to make a change in midfield as Ryan Christie faces a one-game suspension for collecting his fifth yellow card this season against Brentford. The Cherries will have high expectations from Evanilson, who has netted in each of his last three league appearances.
