From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

CHRIS EUBANK'S next defence of the World Boxing Organisation world super-middleweight championship will be against the 32-year-old Paraguayan, Juan Carlos Gimenez, at the G-Mex Centre in Manchester on 28 November.

Eubank, unbeaten in 33 fights, last defended the title in September when he outpointed the American, Tony Thornton, in Glasgow.

Gimenez, who has a career record of 35 wins in 43 contests, made an unsuccessful challenge for the World Boxing Council super-middleweight crown against, Mauro Galvano, who recently lost the title to Nigel Benn in Rome.

Eubank is already looking beyond Gimenez to a revival of his rivalry with Benn. 'Benn has said 'Now we can do business'. It is up to you, the press, to hold him to his word. I want that fight; I don't believe he does,' he said.

The G-Mex bill will also feature a Commonwealth welterweight title contest between Mickey Hughes, the holder, and Steve Foster.
