Your support makes all the difference.One of the four firemen who died in the Atherstone warehouse inferno was a father-of-one who had married only last month, it emerged last night.
Darren Yates-Bailey, aged 24, married Fay Beasley in the Cotswold town of Chipping Campden. The couple had left the church in a classic fire engine.
Mr Yates-Bailey, who had a young daughter, was a retained firefighter in the village of Alcester, where he had lived all his life. He was a keen weightlifter who worked at a local gym, and friends said he was well-liked in the village.
He went into the burning depot with fellow Alcester fireman Ashley Stephens, who was named by a family friend as one of the missing men.
Mr Stephens, a 21-year-old joiner, was engaged to 17-year-old Emma Crocker and had a three-month-old son, George. He wanted to become a full-time firefighter, according to his page on the social networking website Bebo.
The two other men who died when the warehouse roof caved in on them were also retained firefighters, from Stratford upon Avon.
One was John Averis, aged 27. Reports suggested one of the dead men was the son of another firefighter who was at the blaze on Friday evening.
