From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

No major awards ceremony is complete with a string of glitzy after parties.

Last night was no exception, from InStyle to Fox and HBO - there were multiple events celebrating the winners of the 2016 Golden Globe Awards.

For those who attended and won big it affords an outfit change opportunity (not to mention a celebratory drink or 5).

And for those (ahem) lesser known celebs who didn't quite manage to score themselves a ticket for the ceremony - it's a second chance to get involved with the evening.

Outfit changes were had by some of the evening's a-list guests including Jennifer Lawrence who swapped her red Dior gown for a Versace beaded mini dress.

Kate Bosworth also opted for a second look, changing out of her sequin Dolce & Gabbana gown and into a black embroidered top and trouser duo also from the Italian label.

Additional guests on the night included Selena Gomez in a boho inspired gown by J.Mendel.

The Kardashian clan was represented by both Kourtney Kardashian in a beaded number by Julien Macdonald and sister Kylie Jenner in a revealing sheer panelled cropped top and full skirt combo.
