Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Sony’s latest firmware update for their PS Vita handheld brings not only standard tweaks to such aspects as the device’s internet browser and cross-over play, but much more impressively adds support for over 100 PSOne games, including the full range of PSOne Classics.
PSOne games have of course been available for some time as paid for content on the PlayStation Network, and so playable on PS3 and PSP, but this represents the first time that PS Vita owners will be able to get in on the action; the update opening up a huge resource of extra games to play on the system, including the likes of Final Fantasy VII, Resident Evil 2, Tomb Raider, Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid.
PS Vita owners should be able to access the latest firmware by updating their system in the usual way. Once up-to-date any compatible PSOne games you already own can be downloaded stright to your Vita’s memory stick. For a full list of compatible titles see the official EU PlayStation Blog.
