Black Friday 2024 live: Latest deals so far, from Samsung S95D TV to Dunelm

In all my years covering the Black Friday sales, I’ve learnt that deals on Apple products are a rare sight – until this week. That’s when iPhones, iPads, AirPods and more see their biggest price drops.

Stores big and small, from Currys to Argos to John Lewis and Very are already slashing the price of products. While Apple doesn’t participate directly, it offers gift cards worth up to £160 with most purchases, continuing its tradition from previous years.

French brand Le Creuset’s cast iron casserole dish has taken on family-heirloom status in many people’s homes, but its cult cookware doesn’t come cheap. In fact, police were even called after a recent Le Creuset warehouse sale brought four-hour queues. So, this sizeable price cut for Black Friday is not to be missed.

Discounted by nearly 30 per cent in Amazon’s early Black Friday sale, the dish is suitable for one-pot meals and can be used on any cooking surface. In Rachael’s review, she said: “It was perfect for making slow-roasted dishes such as casseroles, but we also whipped up a loaf of bread, which cooked evenly and with a nice, crispy crust.” Available in a number of colourways, the classic cerise shade currently has the lowest price point.

Falling the day after Thanksgiving in the US, Black Friday marks the start of the pre-Christmas shopping season. In fact, the first use of “Black Friday” in retail can be traced all the way back to the Fifties, when shops shifted from losses (in the red) to profits (in the black).

In the decades since, what started as a one-day sale has evolved into a four-day event (and, in some cases, a whole month of deals) that’s marked internationally and concludes on what is known as Cyber Monday.

This year, the mammoth sale will kick off on Friday 29 November. Lasting a full four days, the deals will end on Cyber Monday (2 December).

Glossier’s you perfume needs little introduction. Samsung’s answer to the Apple Watch Ultra, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is a premium smartwatch for sport fans. The luxurious device is now discounted for Black Friday, so there’s no better time to invest.
